Late September in Carmel is typically mild to warm during the day, with highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s, and cooler in the evenings, with temperatures generally in the low to mid-50s.
The reception will take place in an indoor/outdoor setting. The outdoor area will have heaters, but we recommend bringing a shawl or jacket for the evening.
What will the weather be like in Carmel?
Welcome Party: California Cocktail Attire
Ladies: dresses or elegant separates.
Gentlemen: slacks or chinos with a blazer or sport coat.
Wedding: Cocktail Attire
Ladies: midi or long dresses.
Gentlemen: suits and ties.
The walk to Mission Ranch includes some grass, so plan shoes accordingly.

How do I get to the Welcome Party?
Il Fornaio is within walking distance of most downtown Carmel hotels. If you are staying farther away, we recommend using Uber or Lyft, as parking in downtown Carmel is limited.
Enter the Pine Inn on Ocean Avenue, then take the red staircase on the left to the Ocean Avenue Room.
How do I get to the ceremony?
The ceremony will be held at Carmel Mission Basilica. Please arrive no earlier than 2:30 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM.
Arriving by Uber/Lyft: We recommend scheduling your ride in advance.
Driving: Follow the Wedding Guest Parking signs and park in the designated lot.
Mission Ranch is about a 5-minute walk from the Basilica. Guests who are driving can park at Mission Ranch for the reception.
Beginning at 10:00 PM, a shuttle will make two trips from Mission Ranch to Carmel Plaza (Ocean Avenue and Junipero Avenue).
Guests staying outside downtown Carmel can arrange a rideshare from the shuttle drop-off location to their accommodations.
Will transportation be provided after the reception?
