What will the weather be like in Carmel?
Late September in Carmel is typically warm during the day (highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s°F) and cooler in the evenings (mid-50s°F).
The reception will take place in an indoor/outdoor setting. The outdoor area will have heaters, but we recommend bringing a shawl or jacket for the evening.
What is the attire?
Welcome Party: California Cocktail Attire
Ladies: dresses or elegant separates. Gentlemen: slacks or chinos paired with a blazer or sport coat. Ties are not required.
Wedding: Cocktail Attire
Ladies: tea-length, midi, or floor-length dresses. Gentlemen: suits and ties.
Are children invited?
Our wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate you arranging childcare in advance.
How do I get to the ceremony?
The ceremony will be held at Carmel Mission Basilica. We recommend taking a rideshare directly to the church or parking at Mission Ranch and enjoying the short 3–5 minute walk to the basilica.
Following the ceremony, guests are welcome to walk to the reception at Mission Ranch.
Will you be providing transportation?
A shuttle will return guests to downtown Carmel (Carmel Plaza at Ocean Avenue & Junipero Avenue) following the reception at 10:00 PM. Guests staying outside of downtown Carmel can arrange a rideshare from the shuttle drop-off location to their accommodations.
